Robin Mask is a major character from the Kinnikuman series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Following an established tradition from other shonen mangas, Robin Mask is initially introduced as an overwhelmingly powerful antagonist to the main hero (i.e. Kinnikuman), but later becomes a steadfast friend and ally of said protagonist after getting his shit kicked in. You could argue he's filling the same shoes as Vegeta, except Robin Mask and his plot arc actually precede the angry midget by roughly two-and-a-half years.
As is mandatory for your friendly neighborhood anti-hero, Robin Mask does not always have the best intentions and generally belittles what he perceives to be his inferiors in the ring, but also holds himself to a strict code of personal honor. This goes so far that his signature armor actually serves as an intentional handicap; limiting his powers in order to give his opponents a fighting chance. Whether or not it also shields his ego is up for debate.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Robin Mask debuted in 8chanmania L. He ensured that Bane didn't fly so good, but his cumbersome armor resulted in him being outmaneuvered by the lightning-fast Replica Assassin.
During the tag-team 8chanmania LII, Robin Mask and Big Body teamed up to form Team Kinnikuman. Their battle against /tg/ favorites Los Tiburon and Vivec shook the ring itself, but nonetheless ended in a defeat of the Kinnikumen.
