Ryuko Matoi is the protagonist of Kill la Kill.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Ryuko is your regular, seventeen-year-old high school student. Unfortunately for her, Ryuko happens to live in a universe where your regular school (and indeed all articles of clothing on Earth) happen to be parasitic life forms known as Life Fibers. Ryuko herself is stuck with a specimen called Senketsu, but on the plus side, the latter also gives her super powers.
Ryuko is out on a quest to discover who exactly killed her father. This brings her to Honno City, where she promptly enrolls at the Honoji Academy in order to blend in and search for clues. What follows is an epic family drama about Japanese peer pressure, a wildly over-sized scissor blade, and the highlights of nudist beaches.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Ryuko debuted in 8chanmania XX, where she teamed up with Shadow the Hedgehog. The duo was edging towards victory until Peacock and Big Band threw them out of the preliminals.
She had a second stint in 8chanmania XXI, but nothing beyond her being nominated (and not winning a belt) has survived.
