Seaman is a strange critter from the 1999 Sega Dreamcast game of the same name.

Bio[edit | edit source]

The 90s were an age of great technological innovation for the gaming scene. One such innovation was the tamagotchi - a handheld device that supposedly would give kids a digital pet without all the mess a real one comes with; but mostly kept them glued to their little LCD screens because not wiping your tamagotchi's pixelated arse every thirty minutes would cause it to die from stark neglect.

Seaman picks up on this earlier concept and established it as an art form. By giving you a flock of aquatic larvae that will go chestburster onto some poor nautiloids, grow into human-faced fish, kill each other until only two remain, and then mate so the female can crawl onto dry land to spawn the next generation. That mature specimen will belittle your every action with the voice of Leonard Nimoy makes it pure Kino.

Pure kino.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Seaman debuted in the 'Bad Games Mania' of 8chanmania LXXII. Its nature as a sarcastic wise-ass earned it little favor on the part of Dr. Morbis, but Seaman's unique development cycle and physiology meant he still ended abducting it out of scientific curiosity anyway.

The Fish-Man had another appearance in the following 8chanmania LXXIII. As it turned out, Kazumi Mishima's usual fondness for animals did not extend to it.
