Bob 'Snake' Plissken is the protagonist of the 1981 action movie Escape from New York.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Once a decorated war hero that fought in battles ranging from Leningrad to Siberia, Snake suffered the same fate as many other military veterans - namely by going off the deep end after cutting his ties with the military. In his defense, this was during a time where the US had turned into an authoritarian hellhole while fighting a protracted war against the Soviet Union and China, so him trying to rob the Federal Reserve was somewhat understandable.

To make a long story short, the heist didn't go as planned. An arrested Snake is scheduled to be sent to Manhattan, New York. which wouldn't have been so bad if Manhattan hadn't been turned into a gigantic penal colony where gangs run the streets and the only resemblance of law are military forces neatly lined up to shoot anyone trying to leave the island.

Fortunately for him, the president's plane just got shot up right atop of Manhattan, and he is now held hostage by one of the local crime bosses. The ensuing deal means Snake gets a full presidential pardon if he gets said president back into office within twenty-two hours. The deal also means Snake taking longer than twenty-two hours sets off various micro-explosives surgically attached to his carotid artery, which obviously is a metaphor for snarky social commentary.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Snake Plissken fought in 8chanmania XXIX. He was scheduled to battle Gillian Seed, but lacking records mean anything else has been lost to history.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Snake Plissken would later inspire Hideo Kojima to create Solid Snake. In-game, Snake set up a cover identity as Iroquis Plissken during the Big Shell incident.
