Snorlax is a critter from the Pokémon series, first debuting in Pokémon Red/Blue
Bio[edit | edit source]
Much like a certain other fat cat, Snorlax spends most of its lifetime sleeping and most of its limited waking hours eating. Aided by its powerful stomach acid and the resulting ability to digest food that is well beyond its best-before-date, Snorlax's behavior equips it with nearly enough body mass to produce its own gravity well. It consequently is orbited by frustrated Pokémon Trainers, who find its narcoleptic ass to be in the way of things.
Snorlax generally is considered a gentle pokémon that will let kids use its belly as a makeshift trampoline while napping. However, one should bear in mind that it still has enough muscle to actually move its own bulk around, and will happily use said bulk to bulldoze any potential obstacles between it and the nearest source of food whenever it does wake up. As a result, doing so should not be done without major precautions.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Snorlax debuted in 8chanmania LI, where it faced Apollo of The Cheetahmen. Appolo barely managed to defeat it via pinfall after a suplex (which, in his own words, "only took the low cost of what probably is permanent damage to my spine"). Worse, the enraged and hungry Snorlax promptly threatened to eat all three Cheetahmen, had Appollo not launched a corndog into the audience, and sent Snorlax rampaging there instead.
Snorlax also fought in 8chanmania LXVIII, but couldn't make it past Violet.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Snorlax's Japanese name, Kabigon, was admitted to be stolen from Kirby by long-term Game Freak staffer Koji Nishino.
