Solidus Snake, also known as George Sears, is a recurring character of the Metal Gear series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Much like his 'siblings', Solidus was spawned of Les Enfants Terribles - a US cloning project meant to mass-produce soldiers with the genetic qualities of their 'father', Big Boss. In contrast supposed brothers, the shadowy cabal known as The Patriots set him up with a more background career. He spent his early years training child soldiers in the Liberian civil war (including one fairly dense fellow named Jack, and later was lifted into office as the 43rd president of the United States of America.
Solidus, however, did not entirely like all the puppet strings The Patriots had attached to him. Him being doomed to an early death to the rapid-aging effect they programmed into him as a fail-safe measure probably didn't help, either. Anyway, Solidus began to rebel - first by instigating the 2005 Shadow Moses incident, and then by having his Sons of Liberty mercenary group do a little bit of hostile take-over at the New York Big Shell facility. Ironically, the latter incident saw Solidus cut up by his erstwhile adoptive son, and later cut up even further to produce spare parts for his old man.
As per the games' tradition, the guy who trained child soldiers actually was a glorified child soldier himself, and mostly wanted a big old hug from his father figure in the form of George Washington.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Season 1[edit | edit source]
Solidus Snake debuted in 8chanmania XXXI, where he joined forces with Mecha Hitler. The two lost their first match against Tetris Block and Zangief. It was an uneasy alliance to begin with; promptly shaken when Hitler demanded that the Bolshevik scum to be taken to the very same gas chambers he had previously sold to Solidus as an Allied propaganda myth.
Outer Shell Incident[edit | edit source]
A few weeks later, during the Brendan Frasergy Movie Night, Solidus Snake fought off the now Foxhound-affiliated Teagan Almace. Gloating over he defeat, he explained that the entire tournament and the facilities housing it actually were a facade to hide the legendary Wrestle Gear. This mysterious machine was meant to harvest the dispersed Frasergy ripped from Brendan Fraser during 8chanmania x MFW - IN/V/ASION; allowing Solidus to make certain 'adJUSTments' to the very fabric of reality.
Despite of his victory, Solidus Snake seemingly disappeared from the face of the world. It was initially believed Fraser recovered his god-like Frasergy after the word 'just' had been muttered over a hundred times during the course of the movie night; returning him to his status as Fraser Prime.
Later, it was revealed that the scattered Frasergy had instead been harvested by GLaDOS, who used it to reshape the ring into something more of her own liking, and then went on to do a little bit of testing.
