Ted is a character from the 1995 adventure / art game Bad Day on the Midway.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Ted lives and works in the eponymous Midway - a large, run-down amusement park whose gleeful disregard for safety regulations should be the last thing to worry you. As son and assistant of the freak performer Lottie the Human Log, Ted has grown up to harbor a very particular definition of the term 'beauty', and is obsessed with the idea of 'liberating' people from their perceived 'ugliness.
In practice, this means Ted paralyzes his victims with a poison dart before he strangles them to death, cuts off parts of their skin and clothes, and then fashions wonderfully beautiful butterflies he adds to the butterfly collection of his late father. His route fittingly is built around murdering all other adults in the park, before Ted finally looks into a mirror and hangs himself over his inner ugliness.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Ted fought in the post-mortem 8chanmania LXXXI. He was thoroughly disgusted by Sir Dan's biters (going so far as to suggest he must be British), and broke a few of his bones before using his blowpipe to launch a dart into Sir Dan's one remaining good eye ("Ugliness unseen is Ugliness unmade"). Ted went on to nearly suffer an aneurysm after seeing (You)r ugly mug, so sending him back of hell actually was an act of mercy on (You)r part.
