The Noid is an advertising mascot for Domino's Pizza.
Bio[edit | edit source]
The Noid is to Dominos 'Delivered in 30 minutes or less' promise what Wile E. Coyote is to The Road Runner - a seemingly clever, but hilariously incompetent buffoon whose plans to delay the delivery of your pizza invariably backfire on him. While it was strongly recommended to 'Avoid the Noid', the little villain proved so popular that he starred in two video games and almost would have gotten his own saturday morning cartoon show.
The Noid and his advertisement clips also acted as the igniter for the 1989 Chamblee hostage incident, in which a mentally deficient man named Kenneth Lamar Noid thought the ads were a personal campaign against him, and decided to solve the issue by means of his .357 magnum revolver. To illustrate how bizarre this event was: Noid initially demanded a copy of the postmodernist novel The Widow's Son in exchange for letting one of the hostages go, broke his part of the promise when the police delivered the book, and then forced the Domino's employees he held captive to make him two pizzas. Said employees then managed to sneak out while Noid, the gun still in his lap, was busy eating the pizzas.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Noid only appeared in 8chanmania XVIII. He managed to make Plok tap out, but subsequently tapped out himself in the following battle against Opa-Opa.
