The Snatcher is a trickster-turned-employer-turned-enemy from A Hat in Time.
Bio[edit | edit source]
A fine specimen of the 'giant, malevolent shadow with glowing eyes' type, the Snatcher enjoys the finer things in life: Be it laying out traps, making fun of those who step into them, or turning little girls into his personal slaves by means of nifty contracts that get you killed if you attempt to breach them. While this seemingly would destine him to great fame as a Hollywood mogul, the Snatcher is content with haunting the Subcon Forest, and considers himself to be its legitimate owner.
Although his powers are certainly impressive, the Snatcher shares the one, hidden weakness found in ever so many villains: A complete lack of common sense. The absence of the latter earns him nothing but trouble when he takes the soul of yet another little girl in the hopes of getting himself a moderately competent servant.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The ghostly trickers debuted in 8chanmania XXXV, and actually managed to reach the semi-finals after besting Madotsuki, Death Knight, and even the hilariously overpowered demi-lich Ainz Ooal Gown. Unfortunately, his intense philosophical debate with NES Jason Vorhees (enslave kids vs butcher kids with a machete) lead to the eventual downfall of the Subcon Shadow.
The Snatcher got another chance in 8chanmania LIII, teaming up with Evil King Stan. They fought Hat Kid and Bob in the preliminaries, but quickly were removed after Hat Kid landed a pinfall on the Snatcher himself.
