Thomas the Tank Engine is the protagonist of the British children's show Thomas and Friends.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Thomas is traditionally introduced as "a cheeky little engine, with six small wheels, a short, stumpy funnel, a short, stumpy boiler, and a short, stumpy dome." For some reason, the same intro never points out that Thomas also has a human face in place of a smokebox door; putting him in direct metaphysical succession of critters like the Egyptian sphinx and the Assyrian lahmassu.

Originally coming from an 1942 impromptu story made up by Reverent Wilbert Awdry to entertain his bedridden son, the popularity of trains (along odd-colored toy bricks) within a certain target audience soon led to the creation of multiple children's books, the aforementioned children's show, and entire generations of kids growing up to throw their money at infinite train simulator DLCs.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Thomas the Tank Engine fought in 8chanmania LXX, where the steam engine faced the gasoline engine of the Hornet 41. While Thomas enjoyed great fan popularity thanks to heartfelt nostalgia, a stark lack of rails in the ring and Thomas' subsequent inability to employ multi-rail drifting left him hopelessly outmaneuvered by the race car.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Turning the original, lovingly hand-made stop-motion version of Thomas and Friends into yet another computer-animated abomination stands as one of the worst British atrocities since the time of the Boer Wars.
  • Yukari Yakumo opened a gap to summon and launch Thomas straight into Kain's face as her finishing move during 8chanmania XCIX.
