Anthony Frank Hawk, better known as Tony Hawk is an American professional skateboarder.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Hawk had a somewhat troubled youth due to what was considered 'excessive energy'. His father attempted to solve the issue by gifting him a skateboard to channel all that energy on. Long story short, Hawk was widely considered the world's best skater by the time he was sixteen, and used the prize money from various tournaments to buy his first house when he was 17. By the time he retired from competition skating in 2003, Hawk was hailed as the inventor of the 900 trick and the perhaps most iconic figure in the history of the sport. He nowadays spends most of his time telling unsuspecting fans he is, in fact, Tony Hawk.
Aside from actual skating, Tony Hawk is best known for giving his naming rights to the Tony Hawk's series of video games, starting with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in 1999. While the series has been dead in the water since its last (and hilariously buggy) title in 2015, it still served to fill an entire generation of gamers with severe nostalgia for punk rock and utter loathing for unreliable control schemes.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Tony Hawk's sole appearance was in 8chanmania XXIII, where the 90s icon got the sorry reminders of his shins removed by Pepsiman.
