The Unicorn Robot is the equine protagonist of the Robot Unicorn Attack series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Unicorns, owing to their general role as the goodiest of goodly beings in the world of fantasy, have always been accused of carrying vaguely homo-erotic symbolism. Rather than trying to fight against this, one team of developers decided to accept that Unicorns are inherently fabulous, and cranked up said fabulousness to 115% by creating a robot unicorn that shits rainbows while it gallops and jumps through the levels.
Originally published by AdultSwim, the game became stupidly popular despite (or because) of its nature as a glorified shitpost. More importantly, all the glitter and sparkles racing past you actually hide a surprisingly challenging game, whose however simple mechanics can quickly become addictive. Of course, the soft falsetto of Erasure's Andy Bell guiding you through your dream is the cherry on top.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Unicorn Robot fought in 8chanmania LXXXII. Why exactly it had galloped into the ring is a mystery for the ages, but one way or another, it ended up tapping out (clopping out?) against Optimus Prime.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Besides the original version, AdultSwim also published multiple other versions of the game that ran on anything from Heavy Metal to Christmas Music.
- The actual developers behind Robot Unicorn Attack also developed two sequels, which we will gleefully ignore by virtue of both of them being mobileshit.
