Wrestle Gear
The Wrestle Gear is an arcane piece of machinery meant to both collect and ultimately use Frasergy to achieve reality-warping results.
In Season 1[edit | edit source]
Following her recruitment into Foxhound by Colonel Campbell, Teagan Almace was sent out to infiltrate and investigate the underbelly of the 8chanmania ring during the events of the Brendan Frasergy Movie Night. She eventually found herself facing Solidus Snake and, after a brief battle, lost to him. Solidus went on to explain that the facilities used to house the wrestling show (dubbed "Outer Shell") actually were a mere facade to hide the presence of the Wrestle Gear.
The latter supposedly could harness the Frasergy which Endolynn drained from Brendan Fraser, and which later was dispersed in the aftermath of 8chanmania x MFW - IN/V/ASION. Using this energy, this arcane machine allegedly could fundamentally alter reality itself, allowing the user to make specific "adJUSTments" until it fit his or her respective taste. However, as the word "just" also was muttered a hundred times over the course of the Brendan Frasergy Movie Night, it was erroneously assumed the Frasergy had been returned to Fraser.
In Season 2[edit | edit source]
When the original ring used by Calypso over the course of the first season underwent a spontaneous fragmentation and general cessation of existence after the Brendan Frasergy Movie Night, GLaDOS employed "an ingenious device" to harvest the still-dispersed Frasergy and used it to create the Aperture Science Physical Testing Facility. The same energy allowed her to plant portals across white surfaces all over the world(s); allowing her to abduct the various wrestlers that would partake in 8chanmania: Season 2.
It appeared the AI promptly forgot about the existence of the Wrestle Gear while trying to fend off both SHODAN and Hatsune Miku from taking control in her stead. Nor did Default-Chan IRS remember it when Miku, having indeed wrested the control over the mania from GlaDOS, made the ultimate sacrifice by deleting both her adversaries and herself from the Mania's mainframe in 8chanmania LXVI. When the Mania was reposessed by the IRS due to horrendous budget issues and later sold to Banzai INC, its new Japanese owners seemed to be entirely oblivious of the machine's existence.
In Season 3[edit | edit source]
8chanmania XCV[edit | edit source]
Largely forgotten due to the previous and rather messy AI threesome, the Wrestle Gear was only rediscovered in 8chanmania XCV, when Teagan Almace (accompanied by Default-Chan and Violet visited Lil' Vi in her production room and learned that the big boss fight between Kunio and Ansem at the height of the previous mania took place right in front of the door leading to it. Unfortunately, Teagan's surprise over the sophisticated nature of the code needed to unlock said door ("Password 123") sufficed to make her shout it out aloud - and to start a wild race for the machine by all other participants of the mania.
After much merriment with assorted copyrighted characters, Teagan, Deffy, and Violet found themselves facing aforementioned door - and Banzai Man, who had been patiently waiting in front of it for an entire year in the hopes that someone with the code would come stumbling by. The ensuing battle was entirely held within the RPG Maker engine, and while Banzai Man initially proceeded to wipe the entire party, a hearty "NAY THOU!" (and reset) from TNA Anon ensured the Shaker of Hands gracefully surrendered.
The same did not hold true for Slaanesh, Risky Boots, and Iku Acme, who suddenly appeared on the scene and announced the porn-themed 8chanmania XCVI to claim the Wrestle Gear for themselves.
8chanmania XCVI[edit | edit source]
As assorted sluts whored it out, it turned out that the IRS likewise had learned about the existence of the Wrestle Gear. The taxmen of doom sent out by it lost their initial battle against the organizers of the event, yet by the time Doris had asserted her dominance, Agent I had called in the mysterious Agent J. Together, the two officials defeated a tag team consisting of Doris herself and her sidekick Kyu. The IRS was already probing the door leading to the Wrestle Gear when Default-Chan decided to flip her shit and turn off everything.
8chanmania XCVII[edit | edit source]
Deffy's decision to shut off all sorts of special effects and features employed in the production of the mania did have the laudable effect of preventing another Exterminatus or take-over by Square Enix, but sadly also meant that the default crew of FPWW got a dramatic boost in power. Led by Mr. Cobra, the latter promptly attempted to take over the mania and the Wrestle Gear with it. Their plans only were foiled when Teagan Almace, champion of the mania, won a dramatic four-way FFA match against Mr. Cobra himself, John Smith, and Solid Snake (who later was revealed to be Liquid Snake in disguise). Default-Chan went on to re-enable the special effects, and the FPWW crew was blown into low orbit by a dramatically oversized Dunpan.
8chanmania XCIX - The Grand Finals[edit | edit source]
With everything back to normal (in so far as anything in this shitshow can be called 'normal'), the champions of the 32 previous manias royally duked it out in 8chanmania 33. It was Dr. Morbis who ultimately took the belt of the grand champion, and it likewise was Morbis who approached the secret vault deep beneath the ring in order to claim his grand prize - a wishing machine that could bring about a reality much more to his liking.
And prize money he did find. The wishing machine, alas, was nowhere to be found. What Morbis encountered, instead, was a washing machine; with a note from a certain chucklefuck congratulating him on his victory.
As a result, the whereabouts of the Wrestle Gear, and indeed the answer to the question whether it had ever existed in the first place currently remains unknown.
As it turned out, Wrestle Gear was in fact Gondola :DDDD
