- — Yellow Devil
Yellow Devil is a recurring boss enemy from the Mega Man series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Yellow Devil is the first in a long line of combat robots designed by the brilliant, but ethically challenged Dr. Albert W. Wily. Uniquely among his works, Yellow Devil is almost entirely made up of a semi-solid shape-memory material that can be ejected from its main form to serve as a projectile. Indeed, Yellow Devil will often attack by rapidly deconstructing the entirety of its body this way, launching it at enemies, and the reconstituting itself behind them.
The only part of Yellow Devil that is not made of this shape-memory substance is its cyclopean eye, which serves as its central processing unit and can fire potent energy projectiles. So not only is 'Shoot its weak part for massive damage' reduced to 'Shoot the only part you can before the yellow bastard does the switcheroo again' - doing it too carelessly will also gets you bitch-slapped by the eye-laser. Generations of kids wept tears of rage.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Season 1[edit | edit source]
Debut[edit | edit source]
Yellow Devil debuted in 8chanmania XIII. Its sheer density defied the ability of Sabin Figaro to suplex large objects, the claws of Jon Talbain did little to scratch him, and his capacity for evil overstretched that for justice in Sam Armstrong. He went on to defeat Kung Fu Man, yet ultimately found his master in Lemeza Kusogi. Theoretically, at least.
The Lemeza Controversy[edit | edit source]
While Kusogi apparently had won the belt fair and square, this was at the height of the QWARKED.com controvery. Meaning public opinion insisted that Kusogi was a min-maxxed bullshit edit and pressured TNA Anon to perform the first-ever rematch for a belt. This took the form of a six-man Battle Royale match between Lemeza and everyone he beat along the way; obviously Yellow Devil. The idea was to hold two Royal Rumbles and have a final one-on-one between the two winners, but this became a moot point as Yellow Devil handily won both Royal Rumbles and thus took the belt for himself.
Finals[edit | edit source]
Yellow Devil later entered the finals of 8chanmania XXXIII, where he got punched in the eye by The First Son of Light. It still ominously suggested Dr. Wily had many more robots waiting to be thrown into the ring - or at least that was all Protoman managed to make out between a lot of "Bumu"s and "Bubumu"s.
Season 3[edit | edit source]
Following a lenghty pause, Yellow Devil returned to the ring in 8chanmania XCV. Despite of an early victory against Kinky, his mechanical aspects would turn out to be inferior to those of Gundam Rose.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Yellow Devil was renamed into "Rock Monster" in the United States because Nintendo of America violently opposed the use of any religious titles in its games.
