Zoe Quinn is an American game developer and writer that acted as the initial centerpiece of the GamerGate saga.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Quinn was a person of no further interest until she released her first game, Depression Quest. Reactions to the game were mixed, and led to even further mixed reactions that soon grew into one of the first iterations of the ongoing culture war between a self-styled progressive political left and a self-styled libertarian political right. Our lawyers suggest we go no further than that.
Be that as it may - Quinn, Depression Quest, and Moot's decision to banhammer any discussion of her from /v/ and other boards eventually led to a substantial exodus of Anons from 4chan. Said Anons would mostly end up settling down on 8chan, and thus ended up opening an entirely different can of worms. Our lawyers are convulsing by now.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Zoey Quinn, supported by her aide-de-camp Maya Kramer, fought in the Bad Games Mania of 8chanmania LXXII. Her run-in with Haze ended with a regretful Zoey providing Haze with a list of former business associates, as well as a dump from hell.
