Chun-Li is a recurring character from the Street Fighter series, debuting in Street Fighter II.
Bio[edit | edit source]
A Chinese lady with quite some kick in her, Chun-Li's rapid-fire fighting style was inspired by both Bruce Lee movies and Chinese opera plays. Her strong sense of justice and martial skills were further influenced by her father - an Interpol officer who sadly went missing after investigating the drug trade of M. Bison's Shadaloo network. Needless to say, Chun-Li followed in her old man's footsteps, and has an enormous axe to grind with the crime group.
Chun Li was the first female character to be introduced to the series, and intended to be a swift-hitting counterpart to bulkier bruisers like Zangief. She may or may not have started the trend of female fighting game characters using feet over fists in battle - the reasoning being that fighting with fists would not be lady-like. The concept has waxed and waned with the years, but dreaming of heaving your head crushed between Chun-Li's thighs remains eternal.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Chun-Li fought in 8chanmania L. She genuinely tried to tell Yoshika Miyako that the ring was not the graveyard the yiang-shi was supposed to protect, but Yoshika isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and just proceeded to bite her face off anyway.
