CATS is the antagonist from the 1989 arcade shooter Zero Wing.
Bio[edit | edit source]
CATS is an alien cyborg who nominally follows a peace treaty established between its own forces and those of the United Nations. By 2101, CATS breaks this treaty by taking over all of Japan's space colonies and Earth itself. Only the crew of a single surviving "ZIG" space craft remains to fend him off - while CATS already ensured a bomb has been planted aboard the ship.
What follows is your usual shoot'em'up arcade title, together with a rushed and comically bad translation from a developer who evidently was not fluent in English. Ganbatte, CATS-sensei.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
CATS debuted in 8chanmania XVII, but nothing beyond his participation there is known.
He also fought during 8chanmania XXVI. There, he managed to outsmart Wonder Red, showed Reggie Fils-Aime he wasn't ready by KO-ing him. and forced Kid Chameleon to tap out during the quarter-finals. He ultimately got spooked by Sir Daniel Fortesque during the semi-finals.
