"My name is Reggie. I'm about kickin' ass, I'm about takin' names, and we're about makin' games."
— Reggie Fils-Aime

Reginald "Reggie" Fils-Aime is an American businessman that famously served as president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America ("NIA") from 2006 to 2019.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Born to a couple of Haitian immigrants to the US, Reggie's career prior to Nintendo saw him in leading positions that ranged from a New York jewelry store to Pizza Hut, the American division of Guinness, and MTV's VH1 network. Already marketing ace at that point, he not only managed to land himself in a direct talk with Satoru Iwata that went far longer than originally planned, but was hired as head of marketing from Nintendo's American division; later becoming it's COO.

While Nintendo's earlier presentations often used to be very technical, dour affairs locked by Japanese formality, Fils-Aime's more playful and, at times, unconventional style served as a breath of fresh air. His ensuing celebrity status went back to his original appearance at the 2004 Gamescom, and he helped to re-popularize Nintendo in America against the growing competition of Microsoft and Sony. His body was, in fact, ready.

By 2019, Fils-Aime retired from Nintendo, and now leads a cozy life as board member for a couple of companies; including Gamestop.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Reggie debuted in 8chanmania XXVI. He won a major battle in the ongoing gaming war by defeating Gabe Newell in the preliminaries, but then had the bomb set upon him by CATS and ate a KO.

One week later, in 8chanmania XXVII, Reggie had the misfortune of running into Funky Kong that wrecked him until Fils-Aime agreed to let him get his own game.
