Kung Fury is the protagonist of the eponymous movie and video game.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Once a relatively regular cop on line with the Miami police department, Detective Kung Fury's fate took a turn toward the bizarre when he and his partner Dragon sought to pursue a mysterious red ninja. While Dragon was killed in the ensuing battle, Kung Fury mysteriously gained supernatural kung fu powers after getting bitten by a snake. And simultaneously getting hit by lightning. It's 80s magic, don't ask.

Years later, Kung Fury is still haunted by the memory of losing his partner, and thus doesn't take kindly to being assigned a new partner - Triceracop (who, yes, is a Triceratops). His complains fall short when Kung Führer (i.e. Adolf Hitler) spontaneously decides to do a bit of time traveling and shoots his police chief. Bent on revenge, Kung Fury does a bit of time travel of his own. The problem being that his American tech is nowhere near the German ORDNUNG-tier of the Nazis. The resulting detour sends him straight back to the Vikings. Rest assured, hilarity ensues.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Kung Fury fought in 8chanmania XXIX. He was scheduled to battle Rex 'Power' Colt, but lacking records mean nothing beyond him not winning a belt has survived.

The Miamia detective also took part in 8chanmania XXXI, where he teamed up with the 80s Gamer Kid. Unfortunately, the laser-tier couple lost their first match against the /b/lackup squad.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Despite being a glorified Swedish shitpost, Kung Fury proved popular enough to warrant its own video game - Kung Fury: Street Rage
