The 80s Gamer Kid is a boy from a time where video games still were totally schway.
Bio[edit | edit source]
The 80s Gamer Kid comes from a time when soulless AAA publishers did not yet exist, video games were generally advertised in printed catalogues, and the overall life goal of the average teenage boy consisted in leaving his three-letter initials in the high score list of the local gaming arcade. To some, it was a simpler, innocent time. To others, it was rad.
As much as more modern audiences might scoff at the pixelated mess that then counted as 'stunning visuals', the 80s Gamer Kid still enjoys something that all the ultra-HD graphics and mercilessly streamlined gameplay of contemporary titles generally fail to offer: Fun. The lower expectations of yesteryear and the rose-tinted glasses of the current year obviously play their part, too, but the era still was, like, totally laser.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The 80s Gamer Kid debuted in 8chanmania XXIX. He was set to fight against Quattro Bageena, but lacking records mean nothing beyond him not winning a belt has survived.
During the tag team tournament of 8chanmania XXI, the kid joined up with Kung Fury. They apparently weren't quite oldschool enough, as the /b/lackup promptly called them newfags and threw them out of the tournament.
