The Peon is a recurring character from the Warcraft franchise.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Peons form the bottom ranks of Orcish society, being little more than workers and laborers that are deemed unfit for combat. Although cowardly and lazy by nature, they not only are responsible for gathering the gold and wood required to finance the Horde's war effort, but also are in charge of constructing its war camps. As such, the generally poor treatment they receive from their superiors is matched by the knowledge that each fallen peon weakens the Orcish war machine.
Peons rarely ever enter combat, but may retreat to bunker-like burrows and chuck spears at invaders if their respective outpost is under attack. Though not trained in the arts of war, one should bear in mind that the heavy loads a peon is forced to carry gives him broader shoulders than one can find on most Orcish warriors. A pickaxe, if swung with sufficient force, can still be a deadly weapon.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
A peon supposedly fought in 8chanmania VIII, but this is mostly based on stipulation.
