The Prinny is an ubiquous character from the Disgaea series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Whenever someone who has lead a worthless life (think of thieves, murderers, or EA executives) dies, his or her soul is reincarnated/stuffed into the body of a penguin-like Prinny. The latter is sent to either the demonic Netherrealm or heavenly Celestia; where it will serve as a menial until it either has accumulated enough money or enough good deeds to attain a proper reincarnation.
Prinnies generally are seen as lazy and dumb, but have a remarkably chipper nature when considering their sorry state of existence as slave laborers and glorified cannon fodder. Unfortunately for them, the souls sewn into Prinnies are so unstable that they have a tendency to explode when thrown; leading to even further abuse as life ammunition by demons.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
A Prinny fought in 8chanmania LVIII. It tried to pull a post robbery on Postknight, and promptly was sent back to the Netherworld.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Prinny's have a speech mannerism which manifests in the repeated word 'dood'. This is not a trait inherent to their species, but rather a strictly mandated artifact of Prinny hierarchy, with Prinnies that fail to mutter enough 'dood's facing serious penalties.
