Chris Benoit was a Canadian professional wrestler.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Perhaps one of the most controversial figures in pro-wrestling's history, Christopher Michael Benoit or otherwise known simply as Chris Benoit was considered one of the best technical wrestlers of his period and was considered one of the all-time greats, debuting in 1987 in the land of the Leafs, Benoit's first step to glory came when he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight championship from Jushin Thunder Liger in 1990 and winning the Best of the Super Juniors tournament in 1993 and 1995, from there he bounced off between WCW, ECW and WWF before finally setting in WCW initially as part of the 4 Horsemen.

Benoit's finest hour came in 2004 during Wrestlemania XX; after leaving WCW for being treated like shit and jumping ship in early 2000's, Benoit kept climbing the ladder of WWF/WWE's hierarchy to finally getting his chance at the top of the company, with a decisive triumph in the 2004 Royal Rumble where he entered as #2 and became the last man standing, it was then where he entered the main event in a Triple-Threat match against "Shovelman" Triple H and "The Heart-Break Kid" Shawn Michaels, overcoming both adversaries and achieving his most deserved stop at the top of the mountain and celebrating with his best friend Eddie Guerrero.

Sadly, Benoit's legacy ended abruptly and tainted with eternal infamy after the infamous double murder-suicide; Chris' mental state was beyond repair, his brain became a bloated mass of flesh after so many years of over-using his signature Headbutt drop, the brain damage was comparable with that of a patient suffering with alzheimer, a condition that drove him to insanity and to a nightmare-ish end. Benoit, in an surge of rage and madness, broke the neck of his wife and child and proceeded to take his own life

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Benoit very likely debuted all the way back in 8chanmania IV - and suffered an instant KO to Dark Link.

For 8chanmania X, he teamed up with Chris Jericho. The two won a promising first victory against Davey Boy Smith and Owen Hart, as well as another success against Mega Man and Zero. Their spree was ended when they ran into Gu Yuan and Shao Khan.

His next recorded appearance was in 8chanmania XII. There, his notorious sharpshooter shocked the Shocklord and stung Jill Stingray, yet Benoit ultimately found himself being laughed at by Quattro Bageena.

He would only return in 8chanmania XVIII, where he merrily wiped the floor with Mark Henry, Beowulf, and even Infinite Cena before running into the perfectly fine and balanced Nidorina.

8chanmania XXIII: The Snake vs the Wolverine[edit | edit source]

Benoit's finest hour came during the 23th edition of the tournament, starting with a gruesome match against his friend and fellow deceased wrestler Curt Hennig A.K.A Mr.Perfect, a fight that ended with a devastating CRITICAL! attack that finished off Hennig. In that very same tournament, Alipheese Fateburn XVI made her 2nd appearance in the tournament. The Monster Lord made quick work of her opponents; solidifying her position as one of the most dangerous fighters in the tournament, and leaving the ring mat covered in her adversaries' blood. The audience watched in dread as her streak of victories and violence continued up until the main event. Meanwhile, Benoit had to overcome several other dangerous fighters, including the one positioned to take the gold: Garfield the Cat, putting several gruesome bouts that might as well could have been match of the night.

The main event between Canada's Rabid Wolverine and Hellgondo's current Monster Lord was an unexpected bout that filled with audience's soul with fear and despair, as Alice kept using attacks that made Benoit bleed to an inch of his life. To this day it's still remembered as the most bloody of all main event matches in 8chanmania. When all it seemed lost, Benoit pulled all the energy he had left and made the comeback of his career, hitting devastating blows and counterattacks, and his signature Flying Headbutt drop was felt throughout the entire arena. The audience was hooked to their seats as his signature finisher, the Crippler Crossface didn't manage to make the Snake princess tap-out, but Benoit finally scored the win after one final Headbutt Drop from the top rope and going for a decisive pinfall, At long last Chris Benoit finally scored the big one and won his belt.

And Anon Wept[edit | edit source]

With the belt around his waist, Benoit entered the grand finals of 8chanmania XXXIII. Far from getting an easy entry, he was immediately beset by the shell-shocked veteran John Doe. It was a fight for the ages, and as the dust settled, Doe - clueless about who Benoit was - asked the latter if he was to return to his family. A very somber wrestler replied that monsters do not have family, only for Doe to intervene and state that Benoit could not possibly be a monster, for monster's do not cry.

What had been a heated-up arena mere seconds before suddenly became very, very quiet. And as manly tears rolled over the cheeks of the collective audience, Chris Benoit was finally allowed to go home.

Later Appearances[edit | edit source]

Chris Benoit made it back for a late stunt in 8chanmania LXXXVI. Sadly, his attempts to stop Unregistered Hypercam 2 from publishing all episodes of WWE online for free ended in failure.
