Zero is the protagonist of of the Mega Man Zero series. He also appears as a deuteragonist in Mega Man X and a supporting character in Mega Man ZX.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Created by the evil Dr. Wily after his last creation in the form of 'Bass' turned out to be a disappointment, Zero's cognitive code contained an error which caused him to reject authority in general and that of Wily in particular. His creator was not willing to put up with the backtalk, sealed him inside of a stasis capsule until he could figure out the issue, and then died under unspecified circumstances; leaving Zero deactivated until a group of reploids stumbled into the late Wily's lair an accidentally awakened him. Perhaps suffering from severe morning blues, Zero killed them and proceeded to do the same with anyone else who entered the ruined fortress of his creator.

After having his shit slapped by Sigma, Zero joined his Maverick Hunters to protect the innocent from the same kind of berserk robot he used to be. His strong sense of duty somewhat stands in contrast with the cool and seemingly uncaring behavior he displays towards others (including his teammates), but there probably is a heart hidden somewhere behind all those wires and armor plating. Really, all he wants is a loving father.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Season 1[edit | edit source]

Zero presumably debuted in 8chanmania IV, but had the dubious honor or jobbing to the Runescape Bot.

During 8chanmania X. There, he formed a tag team with Megaman.

He also fought in 8chanmania XVIII. His initial victory against the pseudo-cat Niko was quickly squashed by Rottytops in the next round.

Season 2[edit | edit source]

His sole documented appearance was in 8chanmania XXXIX, where he got burned by Flame Hyenard.

Season 3[edit | edit source]

He would later appear in 8chanmania LXVIII. There, he defeated a small, but thick girl before frantically tapping out against a girl that is significantly too thick.

His ego battered, Zero returned next week in 8chanmania LXIX, this time with Mega Man X as his manager. The latter's support seemingly was of great help - Zero handily defeated Youmu Konpaku, Battler Ushiromiya and Rolf before he had the misfortune of meeting the one-man genocide machine in the semifinals.

Already being close partners in their main job, it came as no surprise that X and Zero formed a tag team for 8chanmania LXXVI. Together, the two defeated:

Needless to say, each mania only comes with one belt, and as such, X and Zero ultimately had to fight one another - a fight that X lost.

Zero's belt was his ticket into the grand finals of 8chanmania XCIX - a ride that ended as abruptly as it started when Chip Hazard immediately identified him as a "Gorgonite lover" and proceeded to wipe the floor with him. His defeat also meant he failed to conquer the funds for the direly-needed repair of the Maverick Hunter HQ, but just as Mega Man X reassured him they would find some other means to fix the place, Vile showed up - bringing greetings from Yuuka Kazami, and a presumed battle in 8chanmania C.

8chanmania C[edit | edit source]

Zero was one of the fighters whose epilogue from the grand finals was invaded by Lil' Vi and Dunpan, with the latter seeking for clues on the whereabouts of their friend Gintoki Sakata after he had been captured by Dr. Morbis. He and X gave them a list of five possible locations for Morbis' hidden facility. Zero himself would later show up in the facility itself, allowing Lil' Vi and Dunpan to flee while he fought off the reprogrammed Chip Hazard. He then was captured by Morbis' evil Ape-Men, but swiftly released when Lil' Vi pulled her literal cliffhanger.
