The Circus[edit | edit source]

Dunpan debuted in 8chanmania LXXV. He defeated Gintoki Sakata and mercifully delivered everyone involved from Anthony Burch, but was cruelly exterminated by a grumpy shrine maiden during the Best of Sixteen. Not that it matters. Dunpan may not have won the mania, but it won our hearts.

As such (and now cheered on by Lil' Vi), Dunpan played the trumpet again in 8chanmania LXXXV. The immediate fan favorite did to his foes like an elephant would do in a chinaware shop, trampling down Akhmet and Lola alike. Amaterasu tried to show her AWOOOO was superior to Dunpan's PROOOO, only to be met by utter failure. It took another mad dog - namely Goro Majima - to take down Dunpan. And when he did, his popularity crashed harder than a plane administered by Bane.

During 8chanmania XCVIII, Dunpan was assigned as the partner of Gintoki Sakata for his last chance to free himself of his perpetual debt slavery. The plan actually worked, as the couple earned Gintoki his first victory against American Bear and his cousin Alasgan Bear. One round later, they scrambled the eggs of Dagda and Demifiend, only to manhandle the massive mammaries of Big Tiddy Tau and Hex Maniac. Their next victory against the nanomachine-enhanced Senator Armstrong and his niece Abby Anderson paved their road towards the finals. The latter, finally, saw them dancing off against the fancy moves of Duane! and Disco Hitler - a fight the two likewise won.
Alas, the belt only is large enough for one elephant. The resulting post-show match between Dunpan and Gintoki was the stuff of legends, yet amidsts plenty of trumpeting, Dunpan ultimately got the better of his partner-in-crime. Gintoki himself did not mind, happily cheering on Dunpan while cherishing the fact that he would not have to clean toilets in the foreseeable future.

Dunpan entered the grand finals of 8chanmania XCIX as an instant fan favorite alongside his forcibly-recruited trainer Gintoki Sakata. It produced many-a cheers from the audience as it stomped Rolf in the first and Goro Majima in the second round, but sadly, even an elephant could only do so much against the evil genius of Dr. Morbis. Things may have gotten even worse when Morbis sent his newly-acquired servant Hazardo after the fleeing elephant, yet the valiant sacrifice of Gintoki saw Dunpan making it to safety.
Following its defeat, Lil' Vi did her very best to cheer up "Mr. Dunpan" by joining him on a journey back to his native Finland. Ebin :DDD

An Elephant Never Forgets[edit | edit source]

As much as he enjoyed his stay in Finland, Dunpan could not forget the valiant sacrifice of Gintoki. During 8chanmania C, he and Lil' Vi thus set out on a rescue mission that stretched across space, time, assorted epilogues, and Dr. Morbis hidden facility somewhere in Europe. Rest assured, there was a happy end.
