The Earth Mimicry is the final boss of the N64 rail shooter Sin and Punishment.

Bio[edit | edit source]

The year is 2007. Facing global famine, humanity develops the genetically engineered Ruffians as a food source and stockpile them in Japan. To the immense surprise of everyone involved, the Ruffians promptly mutate and start using the Japanese as a food source instead. Cue the Armed Volunteers, an international peace force that supposedly defends Japan from the Ruffians, but mostly is a thin allegory on the American occupiers in post-WW2 Japan.

Opposing both the Ruffians and the Armed Volunteers is a third group led by a mysterious woman named Aichi. Except Aichi, too has her own plans. Without going into too much detail, the plan culminates in her creating a facsimile (or 'mimicry') of Earth itself and destroying the original planet Earth with it. We obviously can't have that, so you spend the last part of the game shooting a literal planet out of the sky.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

The Earth Mimicry fought in 8chanmania XLV. Its similarity to Holy Terra itself shook Sly Marbo, to the point he muttered intelligible words instead of his continuous battle cry before losing the match. The Mimicry then got glassed by Dan Murphy, whose love of liquor had already made him see entirely different things than floating planetoids.
