"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
— Everybody

Originally a fighter disguised, his face hidden under a hooded robe, Roman Reigns shocked the world by ditching the cloak during 8chanmania XLII and taking the belt.

*LOUD BOOING*

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Debut as The Higher Power[edit | edit source]

Reigns debuted as The Higher Power in 8chanmania XL, as a fighter of wildly unknown origins or character, and bore a striking resemblance to the WWE character of the same name that would later turn out to be a disguised Vince McMahon. He would defeat both Dio Brando (to the vampire's dismay) and Street Fighter's own Blanka, but missed out on his big reveal, as that one skeleton from that one game kicked him out of the tournament during the Quarter Finals. His identity unrevealed, speculation ran wild regarding the true nature of The Higher Power, setting the stage for a return in the near future.

The Man Under the Hood[edit | edit source]

The Higher Power would return in 8chanmania XLII. It fought and remarkably won against Aniki himself in the preliminaries, only to pick up spurious DQ-by-planted-chair victories over Sabin Figaro and Buddy Armstrong. The Higher Power would go on to defeat Akhmet clean in the Semifinals, setting up a massive showdown in the Finals against Brauggi. Fearing another exit before he could reveal his true identity, Roman dropped the charade an act early, which caused the booing from the audience to notably increase post-reveal. Being Roman Reigns, he promptly won the whole damn mania by cheating and throwing a chair towards Brauggi, thus getting him disqualified. Fucking asshole.

Even if his belt was won via debatable means, Reigns still qualified and thus entered the grand finals of 8chanmania LXVI. Good ol' karma would have nothing of it, however, and placed him against Mr. Shake Hands Man, who shook his hand so hard that he forced the wrestler into submission.
