The Medic is one of the nine playable classes in Team Fortress 2.
Bio[edit | edit source]
True to his name, the Medic has the important job of keeping the rest of the mercenaries in a more-or-less working condition. Or to at least prolong the time until they expire. He does so by means of his Medi Gun and its trusty healing beam; which can cure an eclectic variety of injuries by means of rapid cellular regeneration. How the damn thing doesn't give everyone cancer is a mystery. It probably does, and the mercs just die from lead poisoning before any might notice.
This is not to say that the Medic is completely indifferent towards the woes of his comrades. True, he is a manically cackling mad scientist. But he still gives his all to keep the other mercenaries alive; in the same way any other upstanding researcher would do it for his lab rats. Medic's endless compassion goes so far that he will even try to keep enemy mercs alive - just ask the disembodied head of the BLU spy presumably still stuck in his fridge.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Medic debuted in 8chanmania XXVIII. His scientific interest in the vital functions of the Beheaded Kamikaze did not prevent the latter from wiping the floor with him.
After a rather lengthy pause, the good doctor returned to the ring in 8chanmania LXXIII. Medic proved to be decidedly crazier than the Arthur Fleck, defeated and subsequently captured the blob creature MO for further testing, and then had an unpleasant encounter with Yusei Fudo that left Medic in need of medical assistance.
Apparently wishing to test MO's abilities, the Medic formed a tag team with it for 8chanmania LXXVI. The experiment was short-lived, as the unlikely duo was quickly done in by Proto Man and TF2 Engineer. It went beyond saying that Medic blamed MO for this failure, but MO, being a slime with standards, simply ditched the troubled Teuton after the match.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When trying to claim his soul, the devil formally adressed the Medic as "Dr. Ludwig".
