Kars is one of the four Pillarmen from the series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He serves as the primary antagonist of the Battle Tendency story arc.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Kars belongs to an extremely old humanoid species colloqually known as the Pillarmen that inhabited the Americas since prehistoric time. Blessed with extraordinary strength, intelligence, and immense lifespans, the Pillarmen were typically worshipped as gods (or demons) by the lowly humans they consumed, but were instantly destroyed upon contact with sunlight.

Kars sought to undo this one weakness by fashioning special stone masks to unlock the full potential of his race, but his efforts only yielded a partial success: Without a flawless Red Stone of Aja, the stone masks could not fully penetrate the thick skulls of the Pillarmen, and thus could only be used on humans to create vampires. He eventually journeyed to Rome in search of the fabled stone, yet his search proved fruitless, and he went into a lengthy period of hibernation that lasted until 1938.

As a warrior, Kars' apparent politeness and high intelligence belies his sadism and hunger for power. He happily killed not only his parents but nearly his entire race when the latter sought to put a halt on his schemes (sparing only one henchmen and two infant children), and sacrificed hundreds of thousands of humans in his experiments with the stone masks. Kars also bears a certain disdain to machines, made evident in his fight against the cyborg Rudol von Stroheim.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Kars likely debuted in 8chanmania VI, but nothing apart from him not belting there has survived the test of time.

His first documented appearance was in 8chanmania LXX, where he faced the Head of Exodia. Although Esidisi and Wamuu belittled the creature summoned by a Japanese kids with a idiosyncratic type of multiple personality disorder, Kars immediately recognized the threat posed by the ancient Egyptian card game. To no avail - he was sent out in a crushing KO.

When Kain and Dracula fought it out over the question who of them was the superior vampire in 8chanmania C, the ultimate answer should have been to have the winner fight Kars. Alas, TNA messed up, and actually launched a fight between Kars and Dracula before Dracula even fought Kain. For whatever it's worth, Dracula defeated Kars, and Kain defeated Dracula - which probably answers aforementioned question.
