The Viscera Cleanup Detail Janitor (also known as Bob C. Leaner) is the player character of the eponymous Viscera Cleanup Detail series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

As every FPS fan can attest, the usual slog of shooting, slicing up, or otherwise gibbing hordes of enemy mooks tends to leave some very dark stains in the carpet. Not to speak of the severed limbs and bits of brain matter. Of course, no-one seriously expects the hero to clean up the mess he left in his wake - not with elder gods and whatnot awaiting. But someone has to, and that's where the janitor comes in.

To put it bluntly, the janitor is there to clean up any loose ends (You) might have left behind - even if 'loose ends' in this context mostly translates into loose entrails and other types of offal. That he also has a habit of helping himself to any loose change you might have forgotten to loot while shotgunning through the level might be against work regulations, but who are we to complain?

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

As a Janitor[edit | edit source]

True to his name, the janitor spend most of his career in 8chanmania as part of the support staff. More specifically, he was the unseen hand that cleaned up the ring after each subsequent match alongside the SS13 Janitor (and Gintoki Sakata).

As a Fighter[edit | edit source]

The Viscera Cleanup Detail Janitor debuted in 8chanmania LI, where his attempt to clean the ring from Scuttlebug's localized coding errors ended in swift defeat.

During 8chanmania LXXXIX, the Janitor teamed up with Derek Baum to proclaim a crusade against all things dirty. Their program of purification purged the perversion of Stork and the Mount Your Friends Guy, but ultimately fell short against the combined golfing power of Plum and Gene Yuss.
