The Cat on a Ring is the shadowy mastermind behind the organized crime group known as the Nyankuza.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Much as the ancient Egyptians venerated cats, the Japanese also hold these sharp-clawed and notoriously capricious creatures in high esteem. This fascination led to much folklore and spawned mythological figures ranging from the the Bakeneko to the infernal Kasha demon. With the rise of the Kawaii culture in the aftermath of World War 2, cats also became the epitome of everything cute, and gave birth to the now ubiquitous catgirls.
What preciously few people understand is that cats merely tolerate their would-be owners as part of a glorified protection racket, and that most of them are part of one criminal outfit or another. In Japan, most felines are beheld to the near-monolithic rule of the Nyankuza, ruled by an enigmatic feline only known as the Cat on a Ring. Suffice it to say that the cats of Japan are well-fed - either by their humans, or through their humans.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Cat on a Ring appeared in a story match of 8chanmania XCVIII, where it tried to recruit Cheshire Cat and Neco-Arc for its organization. As did Kyu, who claimed both pussies as hers. Since Neco-Arc promptly turned traitor, the Cat on a Ring sent in a cat in a vaguely homoerotic dress as backup for Cheshire Cat, and the two took on Kyu and her newest companion in a gruesome cage match.
Cheshire Cat and Bob won the battle, and the Cat on a Ring readily welcomed it into the Nyankuza. Problem was, Cheshire still happened to be stuck in a cage. And since Cheshire was well-stacked, climbing up the wire fence was a bit of a bother. Realizing it might have made a horrible mistake, the Cat on a Ring ran off to find a man with a few spare ladders.
