Uncle Buck is a universal role model for all parents from the 1989 comedy of the same name.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Buck Russel is a man of strong principles who enjoys drinking, cigars, and betting on horses (which also constitutes his main source of income). When his brother Bob asks him to watch over his three children while their parents are on a visit to an upstate relative, Buck readily agrees to take care of his nephews and nieces - if mostly so he can avoid attending his new job at the car shop of his girlfriend Shanice.
The rest is the usual family-friendly comedy. Highlights include Buck abducting the unfaithful boyfriend of his niece Tia and rewarding the lawsuits threatened by the latter by using him as a target for an impromptu session of golf.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Uncle Buck debuted in 8chanmania LXXI. He proved highly resistant to the idiosyncratic musical tastes of 80s Noise Marine and subsequently defeated Patrick Galloway, Phantom R and Gadabout, but ultimately Mr. X gave it to him.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Noting the relative success of the movie, Hollywood did what it always does and tried to turn it into a series. Twice. With the second attempt magically turning him and the rest of his family black. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, but were panned by critics and viewers alike.
