Miles Edgeworth is a recurring character from the Ace Attorney series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Edgeworth is one of the chief prosecutors of the Los Angeles* prosecutor's office. Having handled his first case at the tender age of nine when one of his fellow students stole his lunch money, Miles was more or less made for the job and would do practically everything to win his cases - an attitude that only changed when his flawless score during his initial four years as a prosecutor saw its first defeat at the hands of his schoolmate-turned-lawyer Phoenix Wright.

Calm, cool, and somewhat snobbish, his aloof behavior hides the fact that Edgeworth is not exactly good when it comes to social situations that do not involve him chewing through suspects or witnesses. Despite of this (and his best attempts to hide it), he still is concerned about the well-being of his friends - even if he sees himself forced to annihilate their paychecks. His repeated headbutting with Wright also has led to a drastic change in his moral compass - while Edgeworth's initial raison d'etre was to win his cases by all costs, his later years have seen him mature into a honorable paragon of justice.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

He debuted in 8chanmania LXXXV, and promptly suffered a debilitating defeat after his attempt to coerce Goro Majima into an admission of murder only led to a tearful Majima to admit that he never actually had murdered anyone.

He and his somewhat bumbling underling Dick Gumshoe formed a tag team for 8chanmania LXXXVII. Their attempt to prosecute Hat Kid and Phantom R fell flat when Miles got pinned by the French thief.

During 8chanmania XCV, Miles served the manager of Gumshoe. Him ordering the latter to launch an investigation on Kazuma Kiryu ended in a KO and yet another pay cut for the detective.

He and Gumshoe once more teamed up in 8chanmania XCVIII, and once more jobbed right out of the tournament when they were defeated by Phantom R and Lupin III. To add insult to injury, Edgeworth's attempt to have the thieves thrown into the royal dungeon by King Harkinian backfired when the latter threw them in the dungeon instead due to their failure.
