Funky Kong is a recurring character from the Donkey Kong series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Funky Kong is a radical ape who enjoys surfing, tinkering, and flying wildly hazardous aircraft. While he has a self-professed distaste for adventure and leaves upcoming trouble to Donkey Kong or other members of his extended family, Funky Kong is more than happy to provide the actual heroes with transportation, items, and weapons.
Although his laid-back attitude and general behavior points to a life as a slacker, his military-style tanktop and his intimate knowledge about weaponry suggest he actually may be a veteran of the fabled "Great Ape Wars" between the Kongs and the Kremlins.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Funky Kong debuted in 8chanmania XVII, but nothing beyond him being nominated for it is known.
He promptly returned for 8chanmania XVIII; only to get clumped by Garfield.
During 8chanmania XXII, Funky Kong went radical on his first opponent Yoshi, and then got axed by Patrick Bateman due his lacking knowledge about Huey Lewis And The News.
His last known appearance was during 8chanmania XXVIII, where he pressured Reggie Fils-Aime into giving him his own game before Tyroth proved too radical for him.
