"Jackpot!"
— Dante

Dante is the main protagonist of the Devil May Cry series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Born to the devil Sparda and a human mother, Dante is the younger twin brother to Vergil and, unlike the latter, chose to embrace his human side over his demonic one. His reward was to forego the perpetually brooding and angsty phase his older sibling never quite could shake off, with Dante instead becoming an exceptionally carefree individual that will happily snark at demons several times his own size before and after he went curayhzee on their ass.

Dante pays (well, tries to pay) the exorbitant bills he gets from his local pizza place by running the eponymous Devil May Cry - a seemingly unassuming shop in which prospective clients optionally can make an attempt on his life before they hire him as a paranormal investigator/demon hunter. His favorite tools of trade are his sword Rebellion and his custom-made twin handguns Ebony and Ivory.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Season 1[edit | edit source]

Dante presumably debuted in 8chanmania II, where he won a first victory against NES Jason Vorhees, but then had Hulk Hogan run the mania wild on him.

For 8chanmania X, Dante teamed up with Guile of Street Fighter fame. Their tag team was short-lived, as Mega Man and Zero kicked them straight out of the prelims.

Season 2[edit | edit source]

Dante entered 8chanmania XLIX - and immediately got chaired by CDI Link.

Season 3[edit | edit source]

Dante likewise was part of the user-submitted roster for PilotMania. While delivering a good first fight against Masahiro Sakurai, Dante caused too much trabbu for the Jackie Chan Tulpa, and consequently was thrown out during the Bext of Sixteen.
